Day 4, Branding:
This is a hard one for me. I don’t think I have a distinct brand, like a clothing line or product line. My art business is based on my name Sarah M Johnson Art , because it is art by me. I use to call my brand Little Quests to Love, because with each piece of art I made, I was getting closer to my dream to become a full time artist. But now that I am an artist, my brand would be about my own journey. It would probably be in line with things like nature, how I use my art materials, and how I express my emotions in my work.

My love of nature comes out in all my work, but especially in my abstract and landscape paintings. I love the nature of art materials and how they can be manipulated and played with to make interesting effects. I love how they interact with each other, how the colors play together.

Also, all of my work evolves around some type of emotion and expression. I am usually doing art because of how I am feeling, or what I need to express. I also like natural materials. I love the shapes and forms of stones, and rocks, and how the land flows. I love the colors in nature. I love to knit, and I love clothes and jewelry from natural things.

One more thing, is I love patterns and lines. It’s in branches, in shadows, in knitting, in clothes, in brush strokes and in textures. I bring these elements into my work, especially with different brushes because they can make different brush strokes and techniques. I hope this helps with the branding of Sarah M Johnson Art.
