Day 9, Rough / Mock Up:
When I think of past projects, I did not have the practice to make mock ups or examples or sketches before I painted or drew. I just got my canvas and paper and just made the art.

But now that I am challenged by commissions or more serious projects, I make smaller mock ups or sketches before I dive into the work, just to make sure it is what the client wants before I invest a lot of time and money into a project.

That experience, as well as advise I got from a past instructor, helped me develop a system of making smaller examples of what the project will be, before I make the final piece. It helps with composition, focal points, and to see if there needs to be any changes made. It visually helps to see the final project.
