Day 22, Tools and Materials:
This is the fun part!!! What materials and tools I use to make the art I make! I am a big fan of BRUSHES! I have a variety of sizes, shapes, and quality of brushes. Each one has a unique way of creating certain brush strokes. I use watercolors mainly, so I have a wide variety of colors, brands, and quality. I also have inks, liquid watercolors, pens, markers, colored pencils, gouache, pastels, acrylic paint and oil paint for other types of work, especially landscapes and illustrations.
I use a variety of different papers too. I have 100% cotton paper for my more serious projects. I also have 25% cotton blended paper, as well as cheaper watercolor paper for sketching or less serious projects. Each paper quality deals with the watercolor differently. Cotton is more absorbent, and cheap watercolor paper has the watercolor sit on the surface more.
I hope you all try watercolors sometime. Try good paper, with good watercolors and see how amazing it is! If you have questions on the materials and tools I use, please comment below.
